The court case first commenced in 2013 where he was arraigned in an anti-corruption court in Milimani while still in office. Late veteran Paul Ngei’s daughters have sought to have his adopted son blocked from being included as a beneficiary to his estate. According to the Standard, one of the daughters, Elizabeth Nduku Mwanthi filed a petition to the high court to block her adopted brother George Kasyoka Ngei aka Nakron from inheriting part of the estate. A burglar disguised as a salesman has been arrested after he tried to get away with a stolen camera at Mediamax offices in Nakuru. Samuel Maina has accused two police officers of robbery and assault leading to his broken nasal bone on Saturday, May 23, 2020. Fear has engulfed City Hall after an officer in the procurement department tested positive for Coronavirus. At least 10 officers have been urged to test for the virus and isolate following the positive test from their colleague. Popular Kikuyu musician, Jimmy Wayuni has been confirmed dead following a grisly accident in Githurai along the Thika Super Highway. 34-year-old Edward Mwenda Kairemia, a suspect in the murder of Isiolo woman, Margaret Karambu has been arrested one year after allegedly committing the crime. He was arrested in Meru County on Monday, May 25, 2020 according to Nation.
