According to the board, the decision was arrived at following a competitive recruitment process that saw Mutua emerge top. A taxi driver and his client have been charged for kidnapping a police officer in Westlands and dumping him in Githurai. Sleuths from the DCI have arrested a serial fraudster, David Ambuku aka General who has been posing as a senior government procurement officer. Ambuku is said to have defrauded Kenyans and foreigners millions of shillings while posing as a senior procurement officer in various government ministries. The contractors of the famous Thika Superhighway are yet to be paid Sh428 million, the Auditor General has revealed. Police have gunned down a member of a notorious gang that has been terrorizing residents around Thika town.
