Machakos Governor Alfred Mutua has dismissed claims that the tax woes facing Keroche Breweries are politically instigated. Speaking during the Day Break show at Citizen TV, Mutua said KRA is hounding many more other businesses over unpaid taxes including his businesses. Controversial businessman cum politician Jackson Kibor is dead. According to the family, Kibor passed on at St Luke’s Hospital in Eldoret after a long illness. Out of the 26 bodies retrieved from River Yala, 11 have been positively identified by families and collected for burial, Gem Deputy Commissioner Mosero Chacha has confirmed. A Police Inspector in Kajiado is on the spot for assaulting a bar attendant at Rimpa Shopping Centre. The officer identified as Inspector Kenneth Nyabete Bosire reportedly slapped a bar attendant at a popular drinking den in 2021. The incident dates back to August last year at Wazito Bush Bar in Kajiado North with the officer charged with assault and causing bodily harm.
