A manhunt is on for a woman who allegedly killed her husband following a domestic dispute in Tayari village, Nakuru County. According to the DCI, Susan Nyambura, aged 35 fled her matrimonial home in the wee hours of the night leaving her husband’s lifeless body sprawled on the bed. Meru Senator Mithika Linturi has filed a suit at the Hight Court seeking Sh10 million in damages from the state for violation of his rights. According to the Senator, his rights were infringed following his arrest and imprisonment after the viral Madoadoa remarks. Two men have been sentenced to 50 years behind bars and an additional fine of Sh63 million for trafficking drugs. The two, Mohammed Oloo and Abraham Hassan were handed the sentence by a Wajir Court after having been found guilty of trafficking Cannabis Sativa worth Sh21 million. In revelations by the DCI, the incident happened in April 2021 when the duo was intercepted at Athibool in Wajir county, ferrying 700kgs of the illegal drug to Nairobi. Several people including two pupils are feared dead after a truck lost control and rammed into a building that houses a nursery school in Isiolo town. Reports indicate that the truck was ferrying beer at high speed when it lost control and rammed into the buildings along Isiolo town. A Nakuru court has freed Meru Senator Mithika Linturi after the prosecution failed to conclude the investigations into the ‘madoadoa’ remarks on time. The senator will thus not take a plea as the prosecution failed to prefer charges against him within the allocated time. Linturi was arrested in January following the remarks made in Eldoret, Uasin Gishu county. 5 people have died in an early morning accident along the Kisii-Nyamira highway and several others were seriously injured. Reports indicate that a matatu that was carrying passengers rammed into a stationary trailer in Nyakome area. A police officer is among four suspects who have been linked to the Sh2.2 million Heist in Kasarani last week. The officer, Constable Geoffrey Korir Kiplagat is an Anti-Stock Theft Unit (ASTU) stationed at Kasarani. He has since been arrested while his three other accomplices are yet to be apprehended.
