Two people, a man and a woman have been arrested in Thika for using false identities to swindle money from clients. According to the DCI, the duo masqueraded as lawyers and received money from clients in the form of legal fees. They were arrested following an operation done with the help of officials from the Law Society of Kenya (LSK). This was after numerous complaints from clients. Kenya has today confirmed 28 new Covid-19 cases in the last 24 hours after 5,617 samples were tested. The country’s caseload is now at 322,545. This brings the positivity rate to 0.5% with the cumulative tests so far conducted now at 3,310,294. One death has been recorded pushing the country’s death toll to 5,633. Also, 52 patients have recovered, 40 from the Home-Based Isolation & Care program & 12 are from the various health facilities. DCI detectives have arrested two masterminds behind the vandalism of KPLC infrastructure in different parts of the country. The two, Thomas Anasi aged 38 and Joseph Kagwi aged 36 have been linked to high-level crimes where they are said to have made millions through vandalization of KPLC equipment. Kisumu Boys High school principal Peter Obwogo has died at Aga Khan hospital. This has been confirmed by Board of Management (BOM) chairman Charles Nyakiti. Mr Obwogo has been teaching for the past 35 years, 5 of which he spent as a school principal. Before joining Kisumu Boys, he was a principal at St Joseph Boys in Kitale.
