Residents from Siaya county are calling on the government to help bring an end to insecurity in the region. Reports, as seen by Kahawa Tungu, reveal that cases of insecurity, thefts, robberies and assaults have been on the rise in recent days, with authorities paying a deaf ear. The residents now want the government to intervene and restore sanity in the region before more deaths are witnessed. Four rogue officers from the office of the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) have been arrested for robbery with violence. In chilling revelations, the DCI revealed that four of its officers based at Lang’ata allegedly abducted a man and forcefully obtained money from him. The Directorate of Public Prosecution (DPP) will appeal the acquittal of Kimilili MP Didmus Barasa in the Kabuchai poll fracas case. Five people have been reported dead after a gas cylinder exploded in Mvita Constituency, Mombasa County. Among the five dead is an infant. Also, three others are seriously injured and have been rushed to hospital. Kericho Governor Paul Chepkwony’s bodyguard is on the spot over the murder of his kin that happened in December, last year. According to the DCI detectives, the bodyguard allegedly murdered his kin for stealing a beehive.
