The family of slain athlete Agnes Tirop is seeking to stop the estranged husband, Emmanuel Ibrahim Rotich from inheriting her wealth. The Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) has been given the go-ahead to probe the Football Kenya Federation (FKF) President Nick Mwendwa for misappropriation of funds. Earlier, Mwedwa through his lawyer Tom Ojienda had sought to stop the relevant agencies from investigating him over the misappropriation of funds. Emmanuel Ibrahim Rotich, husband to slain athlete Agnes Tirop has been arrested in Mombasa, Coast Regional Commissioner John Elungata has confirmed. Rotich has been captured in Mombasa’s Changamwe area after being on the run for two days. He had reportedly gone to visit a relative within the Changamwe Police Division before the authorities were tipped off and he was captured. 24-year-old Zuberi Bado Isa, a Tanzania National will spend 15 years in jail for defiling a girl aged 17 years in Homa Bay County. Isa appeared before Ndhiwa Court Principal Magistrate Mary Ochieng’ for the offence that happened on August 14, 2018.
