Kenyatta National Hospital (KNH) has suspended elective surgeries due to shortage of oxygen resulting from increasing Covid-19 cases in the country. Through a statement signed by the Director of Surgical Services Dr Ondede, the institution revealed that only emergencies will be operated on. 15 people have been reported dead after two buses collided head-on at Kwamkikuyu area along Malindi-Mombasa Highway, several other scores injured. This has been confirmed by Kilifi County Commissioner Kutswa Olaka who revealed that the accident involved a Muhsin bus from Mombasa to Garissa and a Sabaki shuttle minibus heading to Mombasa from Marereni. A robbery by gang members in Kimilili, Bungoma County has left one security guard dead and another in a coma. According to Citizen, the robbers attacked a business establishment during the Easter weekend and made away with property of unknown value. 1.3 million Kenyans are yet to pick their Huduma Namba cards despite being notified by the government of the collection process.
