The government has announced the second phase of Huduma Namba registration that will kick-off early in May. Addressing the press on Wednesday, Oguna stated that going forward, the process will continue just like when one is obtaining an Identity Card (ID). Twitter is considering adding subscription fees for tweet-deck users to increase revenue beyond just ads. A report by Hill Media reveals that the move is aimed to increase revenue durability. Kenya has announced 104 new COVID-19 cases in the last 24 hours from a sample size of 3,348. The country’s caseload is now at  102,048. From the positive cases recorded in the last 24 hours, 77 are Kenyans while 27 are foreigners. 66 are males while 38 are females. Former Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko has been released on Sh300,000 bond with a surety of a similar amount in the assault case. The prosecution had sought to have his bail denied but although the judge was not convinced on why Sonko should not be given bail or bond. On Monday, a 5-judge bench ruling presided by Justice Joel Ngugi stopped the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) from conducting a referendum on the Building Bridges Initiative Bill (BBI). The order would stand pending hearing and determination of seven consolidated petition challenging the legality of the BBI. Kenya has announced 125 COVID-19 cases in the last 24 hours after 1,953 samples were tested. The country’s caseload is now at 101,944. The cumulative tests so far conducted are 1,216,695. Police have given an MCA from Marsabit County until the end of today to surrender himself to authorities or be declared an armed and dangerous person after escaping using a car loaded with guns. Nairobi Metropolitan Services (NMS) has announced mass demolitions aimed to pave way for the construction of 28KM Kibra roads. Hosea Kiplagat, a politician and aide to former President Daniel Moi is dead. Kiplagat has died aged 75 years although the cause of his death has not been made clear. According to his family, Kiplagat passed away on Saturday morning at Karen hospital, Nairobi. Reports indicate that the deceased was last seen on Friday evening and was in a jovial mood enjoying a drink with a friend at a members’ club in Lavington. Paul Rotich, a police officer has been sentenced to 40 years in jail after he was found guilty of defiling a minor at Gatundu Police Station. The details of the case indicate that Rotich raped a 15-year-old minor whose parent had sought help from the law enforcers. The minor’s parent is said to have sought help from the authorities because she suspected her daughter was having sexual relations with the cousin.
