The Media Council of Kenya has suspended journalist Dennis Kipyegon over unethical conduct and violation of the Code of Conduct for the Practice of Journalism. Kenyan man, 48-year-old Billy Chemirmir is facing three more capital murder charges in the United States. According to the new developments, as reported by US media, Chemirmir has now been charged with 17 counts of capital murder and two counts of attempted capital murder in Dallas and Collin counties. The three added charges are for the deaths of Joyce Abramowitz, Doris Wasserman and Margaret White. Kenya has announced 664 new COVID-19 cases in the last 24 hours. This was after a sample size of 6,811 was tested. The country’s caseload is now at 90,305. In terms of gender distribution, 407 are males while 237 are females and the youngest in a one-year-old child while the oldest is aged 90 years. Through a statement, Health CS Mutahi Kagwe further announced that 16 patients have succumbed to the virus. The death toll is now at 1,568. A matatu owner, Noor Ahmed is caught up in a hard rock after he was fined Sh21 million for an accident that was caused by his reckless driver 8 years ago. Kenya has recorded 561 new COVID-19 cases in the last 24 hours from a sample size of 6,387. The country’s caseload is now at 89,661. From the new cases, 539 are Kenyans while 22 are foreigners. 387 are males and 174 are females while agewise, the youngest is a one-year-old while the oldest is 87 years old. Embattled Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko’s fate is set to be heard and determined in plenary after Majority leader Samuel Phogisio declined to move motion to appoint an 11-member committee. Kenya National Union of Teachers (KNUT) boss Wilson Sossion has slammed the Teachers Service Commission over a circular that discouraged teachers from engaging in politics. The Kenya Medical Practitioners, Pharmacists and Dentists Union (KMPDU) is mourning the death of their colleague who succumbed to COVID-19 complications.
