The Israeli ambassador to Canada said the group had been denied entry because TCMV had links to Islamic Relief Worldwide, a non-governmental organisation proscribed by Israel as a terrorist group. Islamic Relief Worldwide and its Canadian affiliate both strongly deny that characterisation. TCMV…

The Kenya Medical Practitioners, Pharmacists and Dentists’ Union (KMPDU) Wednesday opposed a government proposal to limit insurance claim pre-authorisations by public sector doctors to off-duty hours. The union termed the measure operationally unrealistic and disconnected from clinical realities. The union detailed its objections to Health Cabinet Secretary Aden Duale’s expressed intention to instruct the Social Health Authority (SHA) and Digital Health Agency (DHA) to reprogram insurance systems. The proposed change would reject claims pre-authorized by public sector doctors during official duty hours from 8a.m. to 5p.m., allowing such actions only outside those times. “The stated purpose of the proposed measure…

Why Experiences Outshine Possessions When people look back on their lives, it’s rarely the things they bought that stand out — it’s the moments they lived. The concert that left them speechless, the trip that changed their perspective, the quiet dinner that turned into laughter with friends. Experiences carry a kind of value that goes far beyond price tags. They don’t depreciate or go out of style; instead, they gain worth every time they’re remembered or shared. Experiences act as a form of social currency. They connect people, create stories, and give meaning to relationships in ways material possessions rarely…

US unemployment ticked up last month in the latest sign of job market weakness, but the mixed official report still leaves room for debate among central bankers. The unemployment rate rose to a four-year high of 4.6% in November, up from 4.4% in September, according to Labor Department figures on Tuesday. Employers added 64,000 jobs in November, more than many economists predicted. The delayed report was the first…
