Canada has formally requested a renewal of the North American free trade agreement with the US and Mexico, called the USMCA, as the July deadline to renegotiate the pact looms. Artificial intelligence (AI) firm Anthropic has revealed its plans to go public in the US, a move which would allow people to buy and sell its shares on the stock market. Six people were killed in the US state of Iowa after a series of shootings that appeared to stem from a domestic dispute, police said. The suspected shooter also was found dead with a self-inflicted gunshot wound, according to the Muscatine Police Department. The victims are believed to be family members of the suspect, identified as Ryan Willis McFarland, 52, of Muscatine, the department said. UK money transfer company Wise is being investigated over suspicions criminals used its accounts for money laundering, Belgian prosecutors have told French media. Wise said it was working with the Brussels prosecutor’s office but that “no specific findings have been shared with us to date”.
