Gospel singer Kelvin Bahati on Tuesday stepped out in a new look.
Taking to his Instagram page, the gospel artist posted a photo of him in unusual long dreadlocks.
For a long time, Bahati’s signature look has been baby-bushy-locks.
The photo attracted mixed reactions with a section of netizens alluding to gender confusion. Others likened him to Kamba musician, Ken Wa Maria.
Rival singer Willy Paul was also not out of question, having flaunted a similar look in the past.
Others felt the Kuchu Kuchu hitmaker had gotten it right this time, arguing that change is inevitable for an artist.
On her part, Bahati’s wife Diana Marua, disapproved of the singer’s new hair style.
“Babe, I never fold on you… but this look on you, NAAAAAHHHH 🤦♀️ @bahatikenya 😐 Who’s with me? ✋” Diana posed.
She went ahead to ask her fans to weigh in on her dislike.
The fans didn’t hesitate to give their opinion.
Here are some of the reactions on Instagram.
“Am with you… we want Bahati back,” Sarah Kabu wrote.
“Akizishikia juu they look nyc. For a change,” a fan commented.
“Anakaa Ken wa maria,” read a comment.
“Aki watu wengine hamna shida … nyinyi mnaulizana style ya nywele na tunakula maji na kdf huku,” another user opined.
