A row between Banda Homes and a member of the Kenyatta family Catherine Kihanya is simmering over a 20-acre piece of land in Juja, Kiambu.

Banda Homes had advertised the piece of land, but Ms Kihanya came out in public to claim that the homes developer was misleading the public on the status of the ownership of the land.

Media reports indicated that Kihanya, President Uhuru’s niece had said that the piece of land in Juja constituency belongs to the family and no sale agreement had been reached between Banda Homes and the family.

In response, Banda Homes director Paul Nderitu rubbished Kihanya’s claims as malicious.

“The land was divided between the two sisters through a court order after a lengthy court dispute and all that remains is issuance of the title deed. We fail to understand what Kihanya is after and we entered agreement with the seller with full knowledge,” Nderitu said.

None of the parties have produced documents to prove ownership of the land.
