Best Unique Weapons in Path of Exile Game

When it comes to raw damage output, few can match the capabilities of the following unique weapons. They’re the best in Path of Exile for a reason, since few other weapons come with as many desirable modifiers as these.

The Best Bows

Death’s Opus

Death’s Opus is the fated version of the Death’s Harp, which is itself a unique variant of the Death Bow. What distinguishes the Death’s Opus from the Death’s Harp is that its modifiers are buffed up to allow for even more damage.

Usually, the Death’s Harp only increases your crit chance, attack speed, physical damage, and adds an extra arrow per shot. The Death’s Opus not only does all of that, but also has an extra physical damage modifier, and fires two extra arrows per shot instead of just one, making it one of the best weapons for running crit builds.

Windripper

The Windripper is a unique variant of the imperial bow. What makes The Windripper so sought after is that its unique ability increases the elemental damage you do with skill attacks, making it a must-have for most Deadeye builds.

Acquiring it is the tricky part though, as its drop rate is extremely rare. You may be able to acquire it by chancing it, but that’s also unlikely. Your best bet might be to spend some Exalted Orb on the market and get it that way if you need it for a build.

The Best Claws

Hand of Wisdom and Action

The Hand of Wisdom and Action is one of the silliest-sounding items in the game, but it’s also one of the strongest as well. It’s essential if you’re going for a claw-focused life leach build, as it offers all required modifiers for such a build: attack speed, life leech, and elemental damage.

To get this item you’ll have to farm Esh in the Forked Though, as it’s one of those items that can’t be chanced with a Chance Orb. Alternatively, you can buy PoE currency and grab it off the market, which might just be the safest bet.

Law of the Wilds

Law of the Wilds is a unique Hellion’s Paw that’s dropped by Oshabi in Avatar of the Grove. The thing that makes this claw one of the best weapons in Path of Exile is that it’s the perfect weapon for running crit builds. It offers increased crit chance, a global crit modifier, attack speed, and it summons a spectral wolf from time to time.

The Best Daggers

Mark of the Doubting Knight

Unique weapons don’t always have to be unobtainable. The Mark of the Doubting Knight is a good example of that as it can drop pretty much anywhere while also being chanceable. Its unique modifiers make it great for whatever build you want to run it with, regardless of whether it’s a crit build, a bleeding build, a poison build, or whatever other build you pair it with.

Bloodplay

The Bloodplay is probably the most aptly named item in Path of Exile. It’s essential for bleeding builds as all its stats are catered towards it. In addition, it also has an added gore effect whenever you kill something. The effect itself does nothing other than look cool, but hey, it’s what makes this Stiletto a unique weapon.

The Best One-Handed Axes

The Screaming Eagle

The Screaming Eagle isn’t the most impressive axe stats-wise. However, its unique modifier gives it a leg up over its counterparts, as it gives you a chance to flee enemies with each hit. DPS-wise it’s not the best, but effect-wise it certainly is.

Dyadus

Dyadus is one of the more interesting unique weapons in PoE. It can either do fire or cold damage based on which hand you equip it in. It also offers a guaranteed chill on the first hit if it’s equipped in your off-hand. Generally, Dyadus is best suited for use in elemental berserker builds on account of its unique properties.

The Best One-Handed Maces

Mjölner

Thor’s mythical hammer has somehow made its way into PoE and it’s as strong as you’d expect. Not only does it increase your lightning damage and chain amount, but its unique effect triggers all your socketed lightning spells for no cost, making it particularly effective when used in lightning-centered builds.

Yaomac’s Accord

If you’re using a build that’s focused around a Vaal skill, then you absolutely have to use Yaomac’s Accord. The thing that makes this unique weapon so great is that it increases the performance of your Vaal skills while reducing their costs. This negates a lot of their inherent drawbacks, which is why this is one of the best unique weapons in PoE.

The Best One-Handed Swords

Story of the Vaal

The Story of the Vaal is an all-around good weapon for most sword builds as it offers a bit of everything. It increases your accuracy rating, attack speed, and it guarantees a random elemental effect with each hit. The only downside to this weapon is that it’s remarkably hard to obtain.

The Iron Mass

If you’ve ever run a skeleton warrior-focused build then you’ve probably heard of the Iron Mass. It’s a one-handed sword obtained from looting Curio Displays in the final room of the Grand Heist. What makes this one of the best unique weapons in Path of Exile is that it practically superpowers your skeleton warriors, making them an indomitable force on the battlefield.

The Best Staffs

Pledge of Hands

The Pledge of Hands is one of those unique weapons that’s good for any occasion. It increases your spell damage, mana pool, and gives you a chance to dodge physical damage. It also gives all of your socketed spells a Level 30 Greater Spell Echo support, which double casts all your spells for free.

Dying Breath

Dying Breath is a unique Iron Staff that’s perfect for hex and necromancer builds as its modifiers specifically increase your hex spell damage, cast speed, and your mana pool. It also gives nearby allies increased damage, meaning both your minions and your teammates gain benefits from you using it.

The Best Two-Handed Axes

Atziri’s Disfavour

Atziri’s Disfavour has always been one of the best unique weapons in Path of Exile and it’ll likely remain so for a long time. It increases your attack range, gives you a chance to maim, it increases your attack speed and physical damage. And, as a cherry on top, it even increases the quality of your socketed support gems, making them even stronger.

Kitava’s Feast

Kitava’s Feast is every Slayer’s dream weapon. This unique double-handed axe increases your physical damage, gives you life and mana leech, and it gives your socketed gems Melee Splash support, practically making each melee skill an AoE spell.

The Best Two-Handed Maces

Marohi Erqi

The Marohi Erqi is the only unique weapon with more negative modifiers than positive ones. However, whenever it finally hits its target, it hits like a truck. This unique weapon offers a staggering 500-600% increase in physical damage, which is nothing to scoff at.

Brain Rattler

The Brain Rattler is a mace that’s catered for lightning damage builds. Its base modifiers are pretty good, as they offer increased physical damage, increased elemental damage, etc…

However, what really sets this mace apart is its unique property, which gives you a 5% chance to deal double damage. While not much, it tends to come in handy in clutch situations.

The Best Two-Handed Swords

Starforge

The Starforge is one of the best unique weapons in Path of Exile, however, it comes with a catch. It supercharges your physical damage output, but, as a caveat, it takes away your ability to do elemental damage. It’s not for every build, however, when used right, it can absolutely dominate.

Edge of Madness

Edge of Madness is another one of those great all-around weapons. It increases your physical attributes, gives all your socketed gems +1 to their level, and it deals chaos damage. However, the fact that it’s a jack of all trades makes it ill-suited for certain builds that require specific attributes to be boosted.

The Best Wands

Midnight Bargain

This unique wand might look creepy, but it’s actually the best weapon for necromancer builds as it increases your summonable monster count. Replicating it has a chance to increase that number even further, thus granting you the ability to command a true army of the night. To top it all off it even increases your minion’s damage and movement speed.

Void Battery

Hexblast Occultist is one of the highest DPS builds in PoE, and this wand is what makes it all possible. It increases the amount of power charges you can have on an enemy while slightly lowering your overall spell damage. It’s a very situational item, but in that one situation where it’s good, it’s terrifyingly effective.
