Early Life
Bianca Belair was born Bianca Nicole Blair on April 9, 1989, in Knoxville, Tennessee. She comes from a family with strong academic and musical roots—her father performed in a band called Blair Brothers, while her grandfather served as a professor and chairman of biochemistry at Meharry Medical College.
Belair attended Austin-East Magnet High School, where she excelled in track and field. She continued her athletic career at the University of South Carolina, Texas A&M University, and the University of Tennessee, earning All-SEC and All-American honors. She was also named to the SEC Honor Roll in 2011 and 2012.

After college, Belair transitioned into CrossFit and powerlifting, quickly rising as a competitive athlete. However, she was forced to step away from CrossFit after developing intercostal chondritis, an injury she attributed to overtraining.
Shortly afterward, Belair submitted her profile to WWE’s talent database, leading to a surprise tryout invitation. In April 2016, she signed with WWE and joined NXT, the company’s developmental brand.
