    MP Bobi Wine Re-Arrested Shortly After Military Drops Charges

    The Ugandan government has re-arrested Kyadondo MP Robert Kyagulanyi popularly known as Bobi Wine.

    The legislator had the military court martial withdraw treason and illegal possession of firearms charges before being transferred to police custody.

    According to Sheila Nduhukire, former NTV Uganda anchor, the MP’s lawyer Ssegona informed him of his arrest.

    “I’ve been told to inform you that you’re under arrest. But we shall cooperate with them and fight them in the Civil Court like we have done here,” Bobi’s lawyer said.

    Appearing in Gulu Court, a sickly Bobi Wine has been charged with treason again. He will however remain remanded until August 30.

    He has been allowed to access private healthcare.
