Brock Michael Boeser is an American professional ice hockey right winger and alternate captain for the Vancouver Canucks in the National Hockey League (NHL).
Born on February 25, 1997, in Burnsville, Minnesota, he stands 6 feet 1 inch tall and weighs approximately 208 pounds.
Boeser shoots right-handed and is known for his elite shot, scoring touch, and ability to play a power-forward style game.
Drafted 23rd overall by the Canucks in 2015, he has developed into one of the team’s core offensive players and leaders over nearly a decade in the league.
Siblings
Brock is the youngest of three children born to Duke and Laurie Boeser.
He has an older half-brother named Paul and a sister named Jessica, who has a developmental disability.
The family faced significant challenges during Brock’s upbringing, including his father’s diagnosis with Parkinson’s disease in 2010 and a later severe brain injury from a car accident.

Career
Boeser began his hockey development in Minnesota youth programs before starring with the Waterloo Black Hawks in the United States Hockey League (USHL), where he earned All-Rookie and First All-Star Team honors.
He then played two standout seasons at the University of North Dakota, helping the team win the NCAA national championship in 2016 while collecting numerous individual awards, including NCHC Rookie of the Year and All-American honors.
He made his NHL debut with the Canucks in 2017 and immediately impressed, scoring 29 goals in 62 games during his rookie season and finishing as a Calder Trophy finalist.
Despite dealing with injuries and team rebuilds, Boeser has remained a consistent scorer for Vancouver.
He set a new career high with 40 goals and 73 points in the 2023-24 season, helping the team reach the second round of the playoffs.
Known for his clutch performances and leadership, he was named an alternate captain and has represented the United States in international competitions, including winning bronze at the 2016 World Junior Championship.
Accolades
Boeser’s notable achievements include being named to the NHL All-Rookie Team in 2018, winning the NHL All-Star Game MVP as a rookie that same year, and earning multiple NHL Rookie of the Month honors.
