Bruna has one sibling, a younger sister named Luana Marquezine, also known as Luana Maia.

The sisters share a close relationship, often seen together in family photos and social media posts, though Luana prefers to stay away from the public spotlight compared to her famous older sister.

Their family moved from Duque de Caxias to Barra da Tijuca in Rio de Janeiro when Bruna was nine years old.

Her breakthrough came in 2003 with the telenovela Mulheres Apaixonadas, where she played the memorable character Salete, earning national recognition.

This was followed by roles in films like Xuxa Abracadabra and prominent parts in telenovelas such as América (2005), where she portrayed a visually impaired girl, and Cobras & Lagartos (2006).

Over the years, she took on diverse roles, including her first protagonist part in Negócio da China (2008) and challenging characters in Salve Jorge (2012) and Em Família (2014).

In 2018, she played the villainous Catarina in Deus Salve o Rei, a role that required significant physical transformation.

After ending her long-term contract with TV Globo in 2020, Marquezine expanded into streaming and international cinema, starring in the Netflix series Maldivas (2022) and making her Hollywood debut as Jenny Kord in the DC film Blue Beetle (2023).

She has also ventured into directing and continues to work on projects like the upcoming film Velhos Bandidos (2025).

    Accolades
