Caretaker found dead in house in Huruma

A 47-year-old man was found dead in his house in Huruma area, Nairobi.
The man is a caretaker of an apartment in the Daniel Comboni area in the sprawling Huruma. Police said the body of Joshua Irungu was found in his rented house long after he had died on April 9 at dawn.
He had failed to respond to calls, prompting his employer to go and check on him. It was then that the body was found lying on the bed, police said.
The door was closed from inside which prompted Irungu’s boss to seek help to break in. It was then that the body was discovered sprawled on the bed.
Police said vomit was found in a basin that was beside the bed. The cause of the death is yet to be known. The body was moved to the mortuary pending autopsy and other investigations, police said.
Elsewhere in Kegogi, Marani, Kisii County, one Yusuf Otaro, 27 was found dead on the roadside. His neighbours said he had left home for the Isecha trading center but failed to return.
He was rushed to a nearby hospital where he was confirned dead on arrival. The body was moved to the mortuary awaiting autopsy.
In Oyugis, Homabay, a 63-year-old man was found dead at an open field near his home.
Police were called to the scene and collected the body of John Caleb to the mortuary pending autopsy and other investigations following the April 7 incident.
In Langas, Eldoret, one Alex Madekwa, 70 was found lying dead in his rental house. Police officers visited the scene and found the body with no visible injuries lying lifeless.
The body was moved to the Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital morgue awaiting postmortem.
Police want to understand the cause of the death of the man.
