
Cattle rustlers shot at a police helicopter that was pursuing them in Isiolo. The police chopper was flying too low that the rustlers managed to get three bullets through it.
The helicopter was being flown by Rogers Mbithi who heads the police air wing division. No casualties were reported but the police have question the guns owned by the cattle rustlers.

Four police officers have already been killed by cattle rustlers. The three police officers died while recovering cattle that had been stolen from Isiolo county.
In March ten people were killed during attacks by cattle rustlers suspected to be from the neighboring West Pokot county. In the recent years cattle rustling which had a traditional inclination has become a violent venture in the area and is slowly transforming to banditry.
No arrests were made following the shoot out between the police and the cattle rustlers.
