Kenya Airways has been the target of a lot of criticism following the companies decline over the recent years.
As a result Kenya Airways’ former finance director Alex Mbugua has spoken out about the ordeal and given insight into the cause of the companies decline.
In a letter written to KQ Chairman Michael Joseph, Mbugua highlights a list of scandals that he claims led to the downfall of the company.
According to Mbugua, former Kenya Airways chief executive Mbuvi Ngunze was involved in company corruption and former chairman Dennis Awori was among those involved in his sacking from the company.
Mbugua further highlighted the discounting of tickets and other fare abuses as one of the main reasons for the airlines decline in revenue.
The board chairman confirmed that he indeed received the letter and that it was currently in the hands of the companies legal advisers.

Mbugua has called on Joseph to intervene on the matter warning him that failure to do so would result in the airline being sued should the information leaked by the company be used against him in court.
Mbugua is in court claiming wrongful dismissal with the case set to be determined on October 5.
