Central Police Officers Allegedly Involved In Covering NCBDA Boss Attack

The five suspects who attacked the Nairobi Central Business District Association Chairman, Timothy Muriuki are being reported to have been protected by the scrupulous police men at the Central Police Station.

The thugs are said to have been arrested after the video was leaked but City Hall officials intervened to have them protected from being charged and ordered for their immediate release.

“There are officers who were involved in the coverup. They are as guilty as the people who committed the offense,” DCI boss George Kinoti told one of the dailies. “Those implicated will not go unpunished.”

CS Matiang’i is said to have called for a meeting with Police bosses to investigate why the thugs have not been arrested yet intelligence reports show that some officer had been in communication with them.

He has ordered for top police, Ireri Kamwende and Central DCI boss Kobina Cheserek, commanders under whose jurisdiction the offense was committed to record statements explaining why they have not arrested the suspects.
