IEBC Commissioners Demand For Pay Before Resignation

The remaining IEBC Commissioners led by Mr. Wafula Chebukati have insisted that they do not want to resign are committed to finishing their work.

However, should they be forced to resign then they are demanding for the rest of the pay that they were due to get by the end of their term.

Mr. Chebukati who earns at 1.4million per month will demand for his pay for the remaining 58 months of his 6 year term. The two Commissioners remaining earn 1.2 million each and are also demanding for a similar deal amongst other benefits.

The other Commissioners who had previously resigned will not receive any gratuity since their departure was with immediate effect.

There have been calls for the three to resign from the commission after the three led by vice chairperson Consolata Nkatha citing lack of confidence in the IEBC chairperson Wafula Chebukati
