Chelsea To Receive Special UEFA Award For Historic ‘European Set’

Chelsea will be honoured with a special award from UEFA for becoming the first club in history to win every major European competition. The award will be presented just before the Champions League group stage draw for the 2025/26 season in Monaco.

The Blues completed the historic ‘European set’ earlier this year after beating Real Betis 4-1 in the Conference League final. With that victory, they added the Conference League to their list of European titles, having already lifted the Champions League, Europa League and the now-defunct Cup Winners’ Cup.

Chelsea’s first European success came in 1998 when they defeated Stuttgart to win the Cup Winners’ Cup. In 2012, they claimed their first Champions League trophy after beating Bayern Munich, and later secured their second in 2021 against Manchester City. They also won the Europa League twice, in 2013 and 2019, after victories over Benfica and Arsenal.

UEFA president Aleksander Ceferin will personally present the award to Chelsea during the ceremony. The club’s co-owner Todd Boehly is also expected to attend the event.
