Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) CEO Ezra Chiloba was seen watching NASA protesters demonstrating outside his office.
A video has been released showing the CEO looking out of his office window at the demonstrators outside Anniversary Towers.
Chiloba has insisted that he will not step down despite calls from the opposition for IEBC officials to be removed ahead of the October 26 poll.
“I have not thought of resigning. We have to learn to build institutions for the long term. Kenyans have a right to protest but we are in office doing what is mandated of us. The question is whether the stakeholders want crucial matters resolved,” he said.
According to Chiloba, IEBC ICT Director James Muhati had not been suspended and that the commission is currently conducting investigations to determine the person responsible for leaking internal memos.
He maintained that the IEBC will continue with its plan to contract Al Ghurair to print the ballot papers October 26.
