    Civil Society File Petition Challenging Uhuru’s Win In Fresh Election

    civil societyCivil Society organizations MUHURI and Kura Yangu Sauti yangu who were represented by Njonjo Mue are the latest petitioners to challenge the validity of the the October 26 elections.

    Kura Yangu sauti yangu and we the people consortia were earlier today barred from political and electoral processes by the NGO board who said that they were conducting illegal operations.

    The backbone of the petition is to demonstrate that the fresh election was an illegal election.The National returning officer and the commission was irredeemably incompetent.

    The commission was partial to one side that they were unable to conduct a free and fair election.

    The civil society claims that the IEBC confused the voter especially after one candidate had withdrawn from the election.

    NASA are also listed as respondents as one of the parties that precipitated the environment that was not conducive for an election.

    Kura yangu sauti yangu who also participated in the election as observers and noted a myriad of irregularities especially with regards to the voter register.
