CJ Koome Appoints New Members to the Sports Disputes Tribunal

Chief Justice Martha Koome has appointed new members to the Sports Disputes Tribunal.
In a gazette notice dated October 24, 2025, Justice Koome named Allan Mola Owinyi as the Deputy Chairperson of the Tribunal, a position he will hold until 2030.
Other members appointed to the tribunal include Eddie Omondi, Victor Obwaya Omwebu, Aleli Peris Mukoko, Nicodemus Kimanthi Musau, and Luke Wamugunda Irungu.
The Sports Disputes Tribunal is a specialized body that handles conflicts within the sports sector. It addresses issues such as disciplinary matters, team selections, and appeals against decisions made by national sports organizations.
The tribunal serves as an alternative to regular courts, offering a faster and more expert resolution process for sports-related disputes to ensure fairness and good governance in sports.
