The Nairobi County government on Wednesday demolished more than 30 private medical clinics, pharmacies and laboratories opposite the Mama Lucy Kibaki Hospital in Umoja Estate.
The hospital superintendent Dr Musa Mohammed wrote a letter to the county government complaining about the facilities which he said have been disrupting normal operations at the hospital.
It is however believed that most of the clinics are owned by doctors working at the very busy facility.

Also set to be brought down is the Highridge Hospital in Parklands following Governor Mike Sonko’s directive.
