Court Declares Jaguar Duly Elected Starehe MP

The election of Starehe constituency have been upheld. The court stated that Charles Kanyi Njagua (Jaguar) was validly elected and that the elections were conducted in accordance with the constitution
The petition was filed by ODM candidate Steve Mbogo who was the first runners up in that election. He said that the elections were not conducted in accordance with the elections act and the constitution.
The judge said that the evidence failed to show how the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission failed to conduct a free, fair and credible exercise.

Steve Mbogo through his lawyers has said that he will appeal the decision.
The petitioner was also ordered to pay costs for the suit amounting to Sh.10 million
Charles Kanyi Njagua who was vying under the Jubilee party was declared the winner beating Steve Mbogo of ODM and Boniface Mwangi of the Ukweli Party.
Jaguar and his supporters are currently celebrating outside Milimani law courts.
