Daley Blind is a Dutch professional footballer born on March 9, 1990, in Amsterdam, Netherlands.
A highly versatile player, he operates primarily as a centre-back or left-back but can also feature as a defensive midfielder.
Known for his intelligence, passing range, composure on the ball, and tactical awareness, Blind comes from a strong footballing lineage as the son of former Ajax legend and Netherlands manager Danny Blind.
He has earned over 100 caps for the Dutch national team and continues his career with La Liga club Girona.

Career
Blind began his professional career at Ajax, progressing through the youth ranks where he captained Jong Ajax.
He made his senior debut in 2008 and quickly established himself as a reliable performer, contributing to multiple Eredivisie titles during his first spell at the club.
A loan to FC Groningen in 2009–10 provided valuable experience before he returned to become a mainstay in Ajax’s successful teams of the early 2010s.
In 2014, he transferred to Manchester United for around £13.8 million, where he adapted to the Premier League and played in various defensive and midfield roles under different managers.
He won several trophies during his time at Old Trafford before returning to Ajax in 2018.
His second stint at Ajax brought more domestic success and European campaigns.
Short spells at Bayern Munich (winning the Bundesliga) and then a move to Girona in 2023 followed, where he has continued to perform at a high level into his mid-30s, showcasing his enduring quality and adaptability.
Internationally, he played a key role for the Netherlands, notably helping them secure third place at the 2014 FIFA World Cup and reaching the UEFA Nations League final in 2019.
