    David Makali Replaces Charles Kerich At The Star Newspaper

    Journalist and former ‘Cheche’ panelist David Makali has replaced Charles Kerich at the helm of Star newspaper.

    Makali, a former Labour Party of Kenya Secretary-General joins Star Publications as Head of Content after Kerich left to become Nairobi’s ICT minister.

    The seasoned scribe who tried his hands in politics as a senatorial candidate under Musalia Mudavadi’s ANC has served as senior editor of Kenyan newspapers and has also worked as UNDP communications adviser to the IEBC.

    “We are very happy that such a dynamic and distinguished journalist has joined the group and are sure his deep political insight and contacts, combined with his journalistic experience and skills, will take The Star newspaper and group websites to new levels of excellence,” William Pike, Convergence Director at The Star and Radio Africa said.
