Crowley Town’s left back David Sesay has turned down a recent Harambee Stars call up to help his team fight relegation in the English League Two.

The 20-year-old alongside Sweden based Christopher Mbamba were handed maiden calls ups to the national men’s soccer team ahead of the Afcon 2019 final qualifier away to Ghana on 23rd March.

Sesay has impressed in League Two this season playing on the left rather than his favoured right side and is being tracked by West Bromwich Albion.

The uncapped 20-year-old, who holds Kenyan passport, is grateful for Kenya’s interest but wants to help make sure Crawley are not sucked into a relegation scrap, according to Daily Mail. They current sit nine points ahead of the drop zone.

Kenya are facing Ghana in an African Cup of Nations qualifying game on March 23, just a day before Crawley face Lincoln.

Championship teams will be at Crawley’s fixture at MK Dons on Saturday afternoon to run the rule over Sesay as he continues to generate interest.

West Brom appear to be the front-runners for a youngster who would expect to cost in the region of £350,000.

Sesay came through Watford’s renowned academy and made the switch to Crawley last summer.

West Bromwich Albion are keen admirers of Sesay who is likely to cost around £350,000.
