Daystar University has today (Friday 8 December) closed for the second time within a month over students protest.
The head of corporate affairs in the institution Damaris Kimilu said that the decision was made after the students continued boycotting classes.
Ms Kimilu was however non-committal about the suspension of the student leaders saying that the dean of students would send out a comprehensive statement regarding the letters that were sent out.

Daystar University was closed down after students complained of the dilapidated facilities and also mismanagement by the current Vice Chancellor Timothy Wachira. The vice chancellor said that the students had refused to dialogue with the management.
The student leaders also accused the university and parents association leadership for using tribal inclination as a means of quelling the protest.
