Diana Russini Deletes X Account Amid Controversy Over Photos With Patriots Coach Mike Vrabel

Sports journalist Diana Russini has deleted her account on X as controversy surrounding her past and recent photos with Mike Vrabel intensified.

The former The Athletic reporter’s profile was no longer accessible on the platform as of Thursday evening, according to multiple reports.

The development follows renewed scrutiny after images published by Page Six showed Russini and the New England Patriots head coach together at a luxury resort in Arizona in March. Additional photos from 2020, reportedly taken at a New York City bar, also surfaced, appearing to show the pair in close interaction.

An eyewitness quoted by Page Six claimed the two appeared affectionate, though the details of their relationship remain unconfirmed.

Russini had earlier addressed the Arizona images, saying they were taken out of context and that she and Vrabel were part of a larger group during the trip.

“Like most journalists in the NFL, reporters interact with sources away from stadiums and other venues,” she said at the time.

Vrabel also dismissed speculation, describing the images as an “innocent interaction” and calling any alternative interpretation “laughable.”

Speaking to reporters during the NFL Draft on Thursday, Vrabel declined to elaborate further, describing the situation as a private matter.

“I’m always going to attempt to protect my family,” he said, adding that his focus remains on his family and his team.

Vrabel has been married to his wife, Jen, since 1999, and the couple have two children.
