There was drama at the Naivasha GK prison on Thursday morning after an inmate attacked and killed his cellmate with a spoon.
The two are said to have fought over another man in the same facility.
“The suspect had an illegal affair with another inmate in that cell. He turned his wrath on his cellmate after learning he had an affair with his lover,”a warder told the Star.
The deceased sustained injuries to the chest and back.
An inmate who tried to intervene was also injured and is in critical condition. He was rushed to the Naivasha Sub-county hospital.

Officer in charge of the prison, Patrick Mwenda said the attacked person died on his way to a nearby medical facility.
“The information we are getting is that the fight was over an illicit love affair. Police are investigating,” he said.
