Duale Invites Public Comments on Proposed Kenya CDC Order

Health Cabinet Secretary Aden Duale has invited the public to submit views on the proposed Kenya Centre for Disease Control and Prevention Order, 2026.
In a Gazette notice dated October 9, Duale said a Regulatory Impact Statement had been prepared for the draft Order, which was developed under Section 3(1) of the State Corporations Act (Cap. 446).
The proposed Order seeks to establish the Kenya Centre for Disease Control and Prevention as the national institution responsible for disease prevention and control, health security, and preparedness for and response to public health threats and emergencies.
The public and other interested parties have 14 days from the publication of the notice to submit their memoranda to the Cabinet Secretary.
“This is therefore to request the public and all persons who are likely to be affected by the proposed Order to submit written memoranda to reach the undersigned within fourteen (14) days from the date of the publication of this notice,” Duale said.
