Dylan Michael Douglas, born on August 8, 2000, in Los Angeles, California, is the eldest son of Academy Award-winning actors Michael Douglas and Catherine Zeta-Jones.

Growing up in a family steeped in Hollywood legacy, with his grandfather Kirk Douglas as a Golden Age icon, Dylan has navigated the spotlight with a blend of inherited charisma and personal determination.

Despite his famous lineage, Dylan has carved out a path marked by introspection and advocacy, openly discussing his experiences with dyslexia during a poignant speech at age 15 that highlighted his journey toward self-acceptance and educational reform.

At 25, he stands tall—often towering over his father in photos—and shares a striking resemblance to his mother, particularly in his expressive features and the signature Douglas chin.

    Siblings

Dylan’s younger sister, Carys Zeta Douglas, born on April 20, 2003, in Ridgewood, New Jersey, is a 22-year-old recent Brown University graduate pursuing interests in fashion and the arts, often joining Dylan on red carpet appearances and family vacations that showcase their playful, adventurous spirit.

The siblings, raised largely out of the Hollywood glare in upstate New York and Bermuda, have developed a profound closeness, evident in shared Instagram glimpses of daredevil escapades and heartfelt support at events like the 2024 screening of their father’s documentary America’s Burning.

Carys, like Dylan, was born with special needs, fostering a mutual understanding that has strengthened their relationship.

Complementing this duo is Dylan’s half-brother, Cameron Morrell Douglas, 46, from Michael’s first marriage to Diandra Luker; a father of three and author of the memoir Long Way Home, Cameron has overcome personal challenges including past struggles with addiction to build a stable life as an actor and advocate.

    Career

Dylan’s early foray into entertainment came as a child voice actor, lending his talents to the animated character Russell in an episode of Disney’s Phineas and Ferb in 2007, a role that hinted at his natural affinity for performance.

He also appeared briefly in Formula 1: BBC Sport in 2009, capturing the thrill of live events during his family’s attendance at races.

After honing his craft through school plays and formal training, Dylan stepped into more substantive roles post-college, marking his live-action debut as the lead in the psychological thriller I Will Come to You, directed by Jacob Arden.

In this Cathedral Collective and Tripwire Entertainment production, he portrays Julian Marks, an enigmatic figure grappling with desire, betrayal, and hidden truths—a character Dylan described as demanding “restraint and raw intensity.”

Beyond starring, he serves as a producer, showcasing his behind-the-scenes acumen in a film that explores the human psyche’s darker intersections.

Parallel to acting, Dylan’s passion for politics has fueled a robust media presence; as a sophomore at Brown, he co-founded Make Room to spotlight emerging Democratic leaders.

This evolved into hosting Young American with Dylan Douglas, a SiriusXM Progress channel podcast launched in September 2024, where he engages activists, policymakers, and Gen-Z voters on pressing issues ahead of elections.
