Evan Roderick Anderson was born on June 29, 1995, in North Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.

Career

Before stepping into acting, Roderick was a standout ice hockey player, competing in leagues such as the British Columbia Hockey League (BCHL) with teams like the Westside Warriors, Alberni Valley Bulldogs, and Langley Rivermen.

His talent on the ice earned him a Division 1 scholarship to the University of Massachusetts-Lowell, but injuries forced him to reconsider his path.

In 2015, Roderick made his acting debut with a guest role in Untold Stories of the E.R., marking the start of a promising career.

He quickly built momentum with appearances in Project Mc² (2017) as Prince Wendell and When We Rise (2017).

His first major breakthrough came with the recurring role of Officer Nick Anastas in the DC Comics series Arrow, where he appeared across three seasons (2017–2019).

Roderick’s star truly ascended when he landed the lead role of Justin Davis in Netflix’s Spinning Out (2020), opposite Kaya Scodelario.

Playing a talented but troubled figure skater, he drew on his hockey background to bring authenticity to the role, earning widespread praise.

Since then, he has become a staple in Hallmark Channel productions, starring in films like Autumn in the City (2022), A Tale of Two Christmases (2022), and Sealed with a List (2023), cementing his status as a romantic lead with broad appeal.

Beyond acting, Roderick is a self-taught guitarist and singer-songwriter, hinting at a creative versatility that may yet expand his career into music.
