Facebook “Become a Fan” change to “Like” and link Pages to Profiles

Facebook is introducing new changes making profiles abit more dynamic. Starting Today, Facebook is unveiling new ways of liking, enjoying or identifying with Community Pages or simply facebook pages.

These changes are more like or related to the new “like” terminology Facebook introduced sometimes last month. We were fans of pages and we were limited to brands and organizations.

Now users can just click a button (not as heavy as before) saying that they “liked” the page of the brand or organization. It means less commitment and more ability to easily express affiliation or leaning.

When you click “Like” on a Page, you are making a connection to that Page. The Page will be displayed in your profile, and in turn, you will be displayed on the Page as a person who likes that Page. The Page will also be able to post content into your News Feed.

Liking a Page means you are connecting to that Page. When you connect to a Page, it will appear in your profile and you will appear on the Page as a person who likes that Page. The Page will also be able to post content into your News Feed.

On the other hand, when you click “Like” on a piece of content that a friend posts, you are simply letting your friend know that you like it without leaving a comment.
