The family of deceased Rugby player Richard Sidindi have cried foul play over his death with his uncle claiming that the doctor’s report indicated that he did not suffer any physical injuries.

His uncle Reverend Jonathan Yahuma said that he felt the narrative that he drowned was suspect. He said that their doctor was still conducting investigations on the body of the late Sidindi.

Yahuma said that his nephew’s body was taken to the morgue in the absence of his family members. He questioned why the swimming pool had no life savers and asked why his team mates did not assist him as he was drowning.

He said that Sidindi was an experienced swimmer and had been swimming for ten years so he could not understand how he could have drowned.

He revealed to the Star that the family lawyers were piecing evidence and that they would give the next cause of action.

The Impala Saracens broke the news of Richard Sidindi’s death confirming that the player had drowned in the swimming pool after a practice session

“Very unfortunate to lose Sidindi in very unfortunate circumstances. It is a big shock not only to Impala but the entire rugby fraternity in the country,” the club statement has read in part.
