Executive Director, Kenya Human Rights Commission (KHRC) Joshua Kegoro has said that NGO Board Executive Director, Fazul Mahamed is an attention seeker.
Speaking to the media, Kegoro said that ‘when Mahamed is not deregistering NGOs, he is creating awards for best NGOs.’
Fazul has apparently awarded The Sonko Rescue team and Margaret Kenyatta’s Beyond Zero Foundations.
The KHRC boss said that the board’s move to deregister AFRICOG and KHRC was wanting.
”Fazul has been targeting NGOs like Evans Kidero, Kalonzo Musyoka foundations,” he said.

He empasized that the allegations lodged against them were not new as they were in court in 2015 over the same claims.
Kegoro also emphasized that Fazul has not contacted them regarding the 1.2 billion funds and the 100 million in unpaid taxes.
Mr Mahamed on Monday deregistered KHRC and on Tuesday called for the speedy arrest of AFRICOG members and directors.
