St. Georges Secondary School was on fire on Saturday evening.
The 9 pm fire razed down the kitchen but Nairobi County firefighters controlled it.
No casualties have been reported, said Pius Maasai, a Public relations officer at the National Disaster Management Unit.
“It is unfortunate that fire incident has been reported at St. George’s Girls High School, kitchen. So far no injuries have been reported and the cause of fire still remains unknown,” Maasai said in a statement.
The unfortunate incident comes a week after a fire at Moi Girls Nairobi killed 9 students and leaving others severely injured.
