Five bodies including that of a woman were on Monday evening found in a shallow grave in Bambo, Mandera County.
The victims had been missing for five days and appeared to have been strangled to death except one that had a bullet would In the head.
The bodies were discovered on Sunday, July 3, between Gari and Bambo area of Lafey sub-county.
According to reports, the five, had been abducted from Fino, by people who claimed to be Anti-Terror Police Unit (ATPU) detectives.
They were found by a group of herders who were grazing their animals.Deputy Governor Ahmed Maalim termed the incident as extrajudicial killings.
He said detectives will visit the scene today to collect more evidence.
