Form Four student beheaded in suspected love triangle saga in Molo

A Form Four student was killed and beheaded at her home in the Kiambaa area of Molo, Nakuru County, in a suspected love triangle-related murder.
The deceased was identified as Joy Wangui, 18.
According to police, a family member had left Wangui at their house while going to a nearby shop. Upon returning, the relative found her dead inside the house on Sunday October 4.
Police officers rushed to the scene and found Wangui’s body lying in a pool of blood in the kitchen.
The victim had been beheaded.
An axe, a panga and two knives, all reportedly stained with blood, were found near the body.
Police said the deceased’s head was later discovered in the corridor. Investigators also found a message written on the wall using blood and a finger, reading: “I love you Joy but never cheat, am sorry.”
Preliminary investigations established that Wangui was a Form Four student at Molo Secondary School.
Police identified her boyfriend as Walter Kipkoech, who allegedly fled the scene immediately after the killing and remains at large.
The scene was processed by investigators and the body was removed and taken to Molo Sub-County Hospital mortuary pending a postmortem examination.
Police and other security officers launched a search for the suspect, but no arrest had been made by the time of the report. Efforts to trace and arrest him are ongoing.
And a 53-year-old man was killed during a fight in Muhoroni, Kisumu County, with police arresting a 45-year-old man suspected of involvement in the incident.
The deceased was identified as Joseph Otieno Ochieng.
According to police, officers were alerted to a fight at the village and rushed to the scene, where they found Ochieng’s body lying on the ground.
Police said blood was oozing from his eyes and ears and that he had wounds on his forehead allegedly inflicted with a sharp object.
The suspected assailant, was reportedly attacked by members of the public after the incident.
Police officers intervened and rescued him before taking him to Muhoroni Sub-County Hospitalfor treatment.
He was subsequently escorted to Koru Police Station, where he was placed in custody as investigations continued.
Ochieng’s body was removed and taken to St Vincent Hospital mortuary, where it is being preserved pending a postmortem examination.
