A Form Two student is on the run after he allegedly stabbed his neighbour to death in Kawap village, Samburu North.
The suspect is said to have unsuccessfully tried to woo the neighbour’s daughter leading to a confrontation.
The girl reported the suspect to her father who in turn took up the matter with the boy’s father. It is then that there was an altercation.
The suspect stabbed the man before fleeing the scene of incident.
The deceased died on his way to Samburu County Referral Hospital in Maralal town.

Area Chief Sammy Lothuru confirmed the reports.
Investigations into the unfortunate incident are ongoing.
