Former Citizen TV anchor Jacque Maribe’s father dies

Former Citizen TV news anchor Jacque Maribe is mourning the death of her father, Mwangi Maribe.
Maribe shared the sad news on her social media pages, revealing that her father had been unwell. She posted a photo of herself with him on her Facebook story and expressed deep pain over his passing.
In an emotional message, Maribe said she was heartbroken at the thought of living life without her father.
“Now what do I tell a man like you? The definition of perfection. I do not know how I will live without you, dad, but I know you are not in pain. I love you with everything in me,” she wrote.
Friends and colleagues have since sent messages of condolence to the journalist and her family.
Digital strategist Denis Itumbi, a close friend of Maribe, also paid tribute to her late father through a post on X. He thanked Maribe for introducing him to Mwangi Maribe and described him as a kind and loving man.
“So solid and a man so easy to bond with. There is a photo online that will forever show who he really was, a great and loving dad,” Itumbi wrote.
“That photo will live in the hearts of many.”
He added that he was praying for Maribe and her family during the difficult time.
“Jacque Maribe, you are in my prayers,” he said.
