Big Brother Africa has revealed 3 of the next contestants. The next show which is christened Big Brother Hotshots will feature Melvin Alusa who is a 33 year old Actor, Radio Drama Director and MC from Nairobi, Kenya. The most disappointing and again interesting thing to note about Melvin is that he is married and  and has three children.

Melvin come from Kakamega which together with Mombasa are his favourite places in Kenya. He believes that the two places are “both very exotic in their ways and rich in culture.”

Uganda is represented by Stellah Nantumbwe aka Ellah who is a 23 year old Sales Assistant from Nsambya area. She has a BSc Business Computing degree. Her favourite place in Uganda is the Lake Bunyonyi Resort and she says the best thing about Africa is ‘the warmness of the people’. Ellah who was Miss Uganda in the 2013/2014 season list Cambodia as a ‘hidden gem and somewhat a free country’.

Funnily, Ellah describes herself as being ‘charismatic, bitchy, outspoken, loving and sophisticated’ and says that she’s ‘strong and determined’.

Zimbwabwe is represented by the 24 year old tomboyish Tariro Mharapara aka DJ Butterphly Phunk. She is a Radio, Television Presenter and Producer from Harare. She lists her favourite foods as meat, pasta with cheese, black-eyed peas and eggs.

Butterphly decided to enter Big Brother Hotshots because she’d always wanted to be part of a national sports team, but never got the chance.

In the BBA statement sent to newsrooms, it seems the organisers were not sure whether Vutterphly was man or woman.

Describing herself as ‘unique, feisty, mysterious, fun-loving and witty’, Butterphly says that people are always shocked when they discover that he’s humble, compassionate and kind. He likes other people with a sense of humour, honour and truthfulness, and dislikes ‘dishonesty and people who pretend to like a person’.
