Geena Davis was born Virginia Elizabeth Davis on January 21, 1956, in Wareham, Massachusetts. Her mother, Lucille, was a teacher’s assistant, and her father, William, was a civil engineer. From an early age, Davis showed an interest in music, learning to play the piano, flute, and organ. She even served as an organist at her Congregationalist church.
