Girl found murdered in Mulot

A girl aged eight was found murdered in a house in Tokomta village, Mulot, Narok County.
She had her throat slit when the body was discovered on Wednesday, December 17 evening, police said. The motive of the murder was not immediately known.
The mother of the girl said she sent her to a neighbor’s house for salt, but she did not return as anticipated.
This prompted the family to start looking for her hours later when they stumbled on the body lying on the floor in the house and in a pool of blood.
Her neck had been slit by the assailant who is suspected to be her uncle.
A blood stained machete was found lying next to the body. Police said the assailant had escaped the scene.
The body was moved to the mortuary pending an autopsy. The police said the hunt on the assailant is ongoing.
In Itangi, Mwea, Kirinyaga County, one Peterson Kimenju, 30 was killed in a fight with a reveler outside a bar. The deceased was found bleeding hours after he was hit in the head by the assailant who escaped the scene. It is not clear what prompted the quarrel that turned fatal. The body was moved to the mortuary pending an autopsy and other procedures.
In Githurai 44 area, a man was found dead on the roadside. The man seemed to have collapsed and died at the scene where the body was found, police said of the Wednesday evening incident.
